{By Request}: Pretty in Pink

January 24, 2011

{Light Pink, Mauve, Antique Gold, Blush Pink & Ivory}

When I got the request to put together this palette, I instantly started dreaming about all the pretty ideas that I could use! Shannon wrote to me about her Spring wedding and spoke about how she wanted her wedding to feel like a fairytale. Pink symbolizes love, beauty, romance, and definitely has a very feminine feel to it. Simply put, this is a palette that would look beautiful paired with all things fancy & dainty. I imagined a wedding with fine china, beautiful lace overlays & gorgeous attention to detail. I would definitely choose ornate stationery and hire a professional Calligrapher to address my envelopes. I'd choose a script that was feminine with lots of movement. With a soft palette like this one, it's all about the little details. Since you don't have big bold color to rely on to make a statement, it's all about finding small ways to express yourself.

Details We Love
Pink Martinis & Bubble Gum Chewing Bride

This combination of pink, mauve and gold conveys a soft elegance that makes for easy ambiance. I'm loving the pink martinis, the stunning bridal bouquets and that elegant place setting. Oh, and who isn't loving this bubble gum chewing bride? PS: Want to make a request? Check out the 'Request a Palette' tab above and tell me all about your upcoming wedding, the color palette you're considering and all the little details you're dreaming of! We will choose one lucky Perfect Palette reader a week to create a custom inspiration board for in a little series we will call "By Request"

One of my long time favorite combinations. I also love it with a warmer pink hue. You did a great job setting the scene for a wonderful and memorable Princess day!
I'm loving your blog - new fan :-)

I think the softness of this palette would be perfect for a spring wedding, but even a summer one too. Don't you think?

Love the soothing tons of this soft palette, feminine without prissy. How class, a gum chewing bride.
