Top 10 Wedding Colors for Spring 2014

December 31, 2013 / 13 Comments
Being that it's the last day of the 2013 I have to admit that I've really started thinking to the future and about what's to come in 2014! Now, if you've been following my blog for any length of time then you probably know that I publish a couple of Top 10 lists which consist of the most popular and sought after colors of the season. So today I thought what better day to announce the top 10 wedding colors for Spring, 2014 than now? I know, I know, it's almost too exciting for words. So without further ado, here's your Top 10 Wedding Colors for Spring, 2014 (chosen by yours truly).

Now if you've been engaged for a while or if you're a wedding pro of any kind than you probably have been witness to the Mint and Blush Pink craze that has been sweeping the industry. And although this dazzling duo has been trending for 2013, they're surely not going anywhere in the new year. If anything, they're popularity is only going to increase! And pink and mint together? Yeah, be prepared to see a lot more of that.

One color that may or may not come as a surprise to you is Rose Gold. This year we surely saw a big influx of popularity when it comes to all things Glittery Gold. And while gold will surely increase in popularity, so will Rose Gold. Be prepared to see Rose Gold used just the way that gold and silver are used today in weddings.

Coral is another big color for 2014. And I'm hoping you can see why? It's vibrant, festive and just the sort of color perfect for your upcoming Spring soiree. Looking for an equally fun hue to pair it with? Why not consider a Pale Yellow or even color like Grayed Jade. Both gorgeous colors that we'll be seeing a lot more of in the new year!

A couple of shades of blue made it into the Top 10 this year including Cerulean and Dusty Blue. Blue has always been and will always be a top color for weddings, but I think this year we're going to see some more interesting shade selections which of course I'm loving.

And finally, rounding out this year's Top 10 Wedding Colors for Spring, 2014, we have Orchid which was actually just named the Color of the Year for 2014 by none other than our dear friends over at Pantone! Of course I loved this announcement since this was the color I chose last year as the #1 Color for Weddings in 2012! And yes, I'm totally excited to see that what's hot for weddings is also hot in fashion too! Keep your eyes peeled for more of this hue in the new year. Oh, and be sure to stay tuned because my announcement of the #1 Wedding Color for 2014 is coming soon.

So what do you think about the Top 10? Did any of your favorites make the cut? Or maybe there were a few colors you thought should have been included? I'd love to hear your thoughts and ideas! Okay, so I totally realize that I just shared a gold palette the other day. But guess what? I really can't feel bad about it. Truthfully? Gold is just in the air right now. Or at least that's how I'm feeling. As New Year's Eve approaches (still can't believe it's tomorrow),  I can't help but gravitate towards all things festive. And that includes festive colors too. And what's the most festive color around? Gold takes the cake, my friends. And so today I thought I'd share with you some of my favorite golden ideas. Because you can never have enough sparkle in your life. Am I right?

A light up marquee heart over the dessert table? Glitter dusted cupcakes? Star garland? And the prettiest paper mache streamers I ever did see? Yes, this is the stuff that New Year's Eve should be made of. Throw in the concept of actually saying "i do" on New Year's Eve and you have the makings of the perfect party. I don't know about you, but I'm obsessed with these glittery gold dresses! And the glow of candlelight? Can't beat it. So tell me... what about New Year's Eve do you love most? And have you started to think of any resolutions?

New Year's Eve Soiree

December 27, 2013 / 9 Comments
A sparkly soiree at a swanky New York City loft? Sounds like a pretty spectacular way to ring in the new year to me. I don't know about you, but for me New Year's eve has always held a special place in my heart. Maybe it's the promise of a new beginning or perhaps I just love it because it gives me a great excuse to slip into my fanciest of dresses. Not to mention, it's the one night of the year that the more glitzy you look, the better! Did I mention I like sparkles?

So I suppose it goes without saying that I love to ring in the New Year. It's a time to reflect, a time to celebrate and a time toast to the year ahead! And as I mentioned before, it's a time to get all dolled up. Can we all just take a look at this dress? Black tulle with sparkles galore never looked so glamorous. Am I right? And these vintage inspired clocks? Such a charming way to dress up your tables this New Year's eve. Looking for a cute idea for your upcoming soiree? I don't think you can go wrong with individual champagne bottles on ice (and a straw). Best. idea. ever. So tell me... what are you guys planning on doing this New Year's Eve? Any exciting plans?

A Magical White Christmas

December 20, 2013 / 8 Comments
So I think I've mentioned that if we didn't have a Fall wedding, that I would have definitely loved saying "i do" in a Winter wonderland. Because I don't know about you, but when I think about a snowy wedding, everything just seems to incredibly romantic. It's a time of year when families are gathering and celebrating. And so what better time to say "i do" than at the holidays? A landscape covered in snow always has me at hello.

And a white Christmas? Well, that sure does make for a perfect Christmas. Now doesn't it? And while I don't think it will snow here in Georgia this Christmas, I can't help but dream a little dream for snow. So tell me... will any of my readers be lucky enough to get snow this Christmas? Consider me jealous. Seriously jealous.
