6 Wedding Styling Tips | Radiant in Red

Okay, so I just so happen to know that one of my readers has a huge soft spot for the color red. So much so that couldn't help but think of her as I put this little piece together. Lena? Are you seeing this? Now, I have to admit that red was at one time my favorite color. But here lately, I just don't seem to gravitate towards it like I used to. Nevertheless, I can't help but swoon a little when I see red done right. And so today I thought it would be fun to share 6 of my favorite styling tips for red weddings.

1. Don't be Afraid to Make a Statement: Okay, so let's be honest, red is a pretty bold color. But that doesn't mean you have to use it sparingly. Go big or go home am I right? I think these gigantic balloons are a perfect example of what I'm talking about!

2. Patterns Add Visual Interest: Here lately I'm totally obsessed with patterns. And patterns on bridesmaid dresses? Yeah, I can't even begin to tell you how much I love this trend! So when it comes to dressing your bridal party, take my advice and mix in some patterns. It adds a visual interest that will come across as absolutely unique.

3. Signature Cocktails: Signature cocktails are a great way to incorporate your color palette! I suggest working with your catering team to come up with something completely unique (and color coordinated). Your guests will appreciate your thoughtfulness.

4. Get Festive with Your Decor!
When it comes to styling your wedding, always remember to experiment with different types of decor. I personally think garlands are a great way to add a bit of pizzazz. Whether you drape them on the back of your reception chairs, or your wedding cake or even from the ceiling, one thing is for sure, garlands are fun way to add a touch of whimsy to any wedding or party!

5. Food for Thought
When it comes to weddings, it's all in the details! That's why I'm totally in love with this red velvet cake! The red and white stripes really are a beautiful touch. Wouldn't you agree? And it's the perfect example of the sweet embellishments I've grown to love!

6.  Be bold with your Accessories!
These heels! Can we all just take a look at these beyond gorgeous heels? I'm seriously loving the candy red color and that adorable bow accent. Brides, don't be afraid to wear a pair of heels in your favorite color. Remember, traditional white is not for everyone!

So there you have it! 6 simple styling tips to take your wedding day from drab to fab. Follow these and you're sure to discover a look that's perfect for you! So tell me... might you use a beautiful shade of red like this for your upcoming wedding, party or project? I'd love to hear all about it in the comments!
