{Winter Whimsy}: A Palette of Red + White

November 21, 2011

{Red + White}

So I have a small confession. Okay, please don't judge me, alright? So the truth is that I've been rocking out to Christmas tunes for the past two weeks. I know...I know... the shame. I just couldn't help it. I'm admittedly one of those crazy Christmas people who just looks forward to the holidays all year and then when the smallest nip of cold is in the air, I turn into a super duper holiday freak. I held back as much as I could. I tried to embrace Fall for just a little longer... but my heart is already in December. And can you blame me? The holidays are the perfect time to bring out your favorite entertaining ideas. And naturally they just go hand in hand with weddings. {continued...}

So today I give you my ode to Winter. A small sneak peek into what's to come this December! I'm whipping up all kinds of pretty holiday inspired boards. Great for weddings or for any holiday party for that matter....So bring on the egg nog and the chunky sweaters, I say. Oh, and be sure to check out my previous Winter boards, my '25 Days of Christmas' boards I did back in 2009, as well as my other Christmas boards. So tell me... what are you looking forward to most this season?

I am the same way! I, too, listen to Christmas music and bust out the snowman PJ pants when no one is around. It's such a wonderful time of year, so I say embrace it. Lovely board. :)

I justify the shameless Christmas joy by reminding others that time passes by so quickly you need a head start on the Christmas tunes! I love the simplicity of using just these two colors which are perfect for a wedding in December.

Oh, you should be ashamed! :)

It is always hard to get into the Christmas spirit in LA, where it is always warm and sunny. But with the little one a bit older for Christmas this year I am getting excited, even though he still can't understand the fun yet. Enjoy your Christmas tunes! xx

I always wait until the day after Thanksgiving to listen to Christmas music but if I didn't do that I would totally be listening already ;)

Such a beautiful and elegant Winter/Christmas board. I love the tradition of the Christmas tree...finding the perfect one, hanging the ornaments...buying too many ornaments! :) Happy Thanksgiving friend!

Strawberries and cream, maybe some rhubarb or summer fruits? Can imagine some great wedding catering options with this scheme.
