{The Perfect Palette}: Finding the one!

I love color. We have a serious relationship. Unfortunately I just cannot commit. To one color that is...You see, I've often had favorite colors, but just when I think I've found the one, I find myself falling in love with another color. I suppose it's not a serious issue. I mean, it's okay to love more than one color. But what if you're trying to determine THE color palette for your wedding day and every time you think you've decided... you find yourself questioning yourself. I know how it is. I've had that problem before...

Although it can be challenging to decide upon a color palette due to the fact that there are just SO many pretty options out there, it's important that you try. Because whether you're planning a wedding or trying to find colors for your master bedroom, nursery or even a holiday party, one thing is for sure...

You cannot get very far in the process if you don't decide upon your colors! So the quicker you can fall in love and stay in love with a palette, the better! My suggestion on how to do this is to go with your instincts...

Close your eyes, imagine your day..and think about what you want your wedding day to look like? What colors do you see? What seems the most natural to you? What colors do you want to work with?

Remember your color choices will dictate almost every other choice in the planning process so choose carefully. That's not to say you need to make a science project out of it, however. You just don't want to decide and then keep changing your mind! That is definitely a toughie because often times a color palette change can mean that you will be making a lot of returns or worse - you could be stuck with the stuff in the colors you no longer want.

So when it comes to finding THE palette, be sure to explore lots of possibilities, follow your heart and don't be wishy washy, okay? I know it's hard what with all the pretty color palettes out there. Because if you ask me, finding your colors and committing to your palette is definitely up there with booking a venue and finding your wedding dress. It's a big decision! But you'll so much better once you commit! So tell me, what colors are you considering? Whether it be for a wedding or something else entirely?
