Often times I get asked the question, ''How do you even get started with creating your inspiration boards?'' And my answer is simply this... It all starts with one photo. One photo that absolutely speaks to me. Like this one, for instance. When I look at this photo I see peach tones in the necktie, bouquet and ribbons, a taupe suit as well as various pink tones in the blooms and ribbons. Oh, and a touch of tangerine. It's really true that one image can inspire an entire wedding or an entire color palette for that matter!

I'm absolutely loving how these colors play off of one another! Can you imagine how lovely this palette would be for a wedding? I'm imagining bridesmaids dressed in peach, a beautiful coordinating cake with a dainty floral motif, and beautiful programs designed with the same type of ribbons woven through. See how it works? So easy, right?
My hope is that this really does help you to realize that it only takes one image to inspire a color palette. Just one! So don't get overwhelmed, okay? If you find yourself gravitating towards a particular photo, always remember that you can use that one photo as your starting point to determine your wedding color palette. So what do you think? Want to see more like this? Stay tuned because I have a few in the works that I can't wait to share with you!

I was actually wondering where your inspiration comes from, as well, so I am glad that you answered this question. You always have the best ideas. I love that it comes from one photo!
