{Caribbean Color}: A Palette of Shades of Teal, Orange + White

{Deep Teal, Burnt Orange, Orange, Dusty Aqua + White}

One thing that I've been looking forward to all Summer is the beach vacation I've been planning all year long! To be honest with you, I seriously cannot remember the last time I went to the beach! Either way, it's definitely been too long. There are few things that make me happier than being by the ocean. That's why I have been counting down the days. Plus, it doesn't hurt that we managed to book a beach house directly on the beach which is definitely a first for me. I mean, I've stayed a block from the beach, but never have I ever stayed in a house directly on the beach. {continued...}

Actually, now that I think about it...My last real vacation probably was our honeymoon back in '09 when we went on a Caribbean cruise. It was one of those trips where we had such a great experience, that I've been dying to jump back on that cruise ship and do it again ever since we got back home. The places we visited were the Bahamas, St. Marten, St. Thomas, St. John, and Turks and Caicos. I will always cherish that first week as husband and wife and all the fun we had together surrounded by beautiful aqua colored water and gorgeous scenery.

The colors were vibrant and for a lack of a better word...so tropical. And so that got me thinking about what colors would make the perfect Caribbean inspired palette. And so off to the drawing board I went...and here you have it! A tropical palette of shades of aqua and orange. So what do you think? Are you in need of a vacation right about now? And if so, what's your idea of the perfect getaway?
