{Twist & Shout}: Shades of Orange, Black + White

{Burnt Orange, Orange, Peach, Black & White}
Although I'm typically drawn to creating designs that lean towards a more vintage feel, sometimes it's really fun to create a palette with a modern look in mind. You may think of orange and black as being a palette reserved for Halloween, but I think if done right, you can pull this palette off during any season of the year. The trick with this palette is that you want to keep black to a bare minimum. Only using it for the guy's tuxes for example. While the rest of the palette is kept light and airy with fun punches of color splashed throughout. Some of the ideas I'm loving for this wedding include the modern & sophisticated design created for the reception space. I mean who is not loving those fun lanterns? {continued...}

Notice how the table design is kept very minimalistic? Some other fun ideas are sprinkled throughout including a button escort card display which creates a playful visual as well as those fun flags that the newlyweds are holding. I've never seen that idea before! Throw in some fun prints including the incorporation of newspaper clippings plus those great orange and white stripes, and you have the makings of a playful yet sophisticated modern soiree. So what do you think? Are you loving this palette?

This is gorgeous! I have no idea how I am going to choose! Every time I come back here there is something I like better than the last!
I agree with Samantha, how the heck am I going to choose a color palette. There are so many fun ones here on The Perfect Palette.
Oh my GAH-- I'm LOVING this palette! So much fun. All kinds of cool ideas. Bookmarked.
Gosh, how are couples to choose?! Every palette you create is bound to grab them as "the one"! Love this orange...
Nicely done with those colors and the modern edge comes thru in the board!
Um WOW! This one is SO FUN! Love those lanterns and how they dance above the reception space. Truly fun!
Swooooooooon! This is so great. Love how this palette comes together to create such an exciting and almost edgy presentation.
I am loving how soft this palette feels in the featured wedding! I love how the peach & white are the prominent colors and just a hint of the sharper burnt orange & black are used.
Eeep!! Love this. It's like a variation of my own wedding palette :) Perf!
Love the laterns and the orange bouquet. Orange and black can really be chic. :) Happy Weekend.
As to not veer into Halloween territory, the peach is extremely necessary! That said, I am loving the entire combo - and black must be used sparingly!
Seriously fun! Loving all the details.
While I have to agree with you that I am drawn more to palettes that have a vintagey feel to them, I love the cheefullness of this palette! You are absolutely right ~ the key is to keep black to a minimum...and the peach helps soften the orange! And lanterns...I do love lanters ;-)))

I'm adoring this palette. It's so fun! Just look at those lanterns!! and that peach!! Loving this look.
Orange and black are definitely everyday colors for me. In my gemstone/sterling silver jewelry, I use shades of orange by itself, but most often, I use orange to light up gemstone combos with i. e. ruby/red/pink colors. Blackened silver is also a great way to set off beautiful gemstone colors. Your color palette is very beautiful! Thank you for featuring my canrnelian/oxidized silver earrings :)
This is beautiful! By far my favorite color palette. :) :)
I love how happy this board is!!! And minimal in such a cool, modern way!!
Wow, oranges and white with black accents...a halloween-y wedding, but very classy. If I were getting married in october, I would definitely use this color scheme! Great ideas. Thanks!
Wow, what a combination of colors.. Anyone hardly can imagine the greatness of a particular color pallete.. I am impressed..
