A Spooky Soirée: Black and Gold Party Ideas

Halloween is definitely one of the holidays that I really get excited for. Maybe it's the fact that it brings back so many great childhood memories of running from door to door with a pillowcase of sugary goodness in hand? Or maybe it's because we have three little kiddos now ourselves and so I get to relive all the fun through their eyes? I'm thinking it's a little bit of both, to be honest.

And so whether you're planning a Halloween wedding or simply putting together a spooky soiree, the one thing I've realized over the years is that you can easily glam up Halloween. I swear, every single year, all kinds of new and exciting DIY ideas pop up for Halloween.

Add some DIY pizzazz to your pumpkins, I say! Lace pumpkins, crystal studded pumpkins, golden pumpkins, the list goes on when it comes to spicing up those plain pumpkins of yours!

I'm loving these black feathers dipped in glitter. And what's not to love about champagne with blackberries?

And a black wedding dress? It seems only fitting. Don't you think? And this one is glam, glam, glam! Spooky masks and black birds under cloches? Yes, please! Oh, and I'm loving the mad scientist vibe I'm getting from that vase!

So tell me, does anyone have any exciting plans for tonight? It wasn't too long ago that I was dressing up in costume and going to all kinds of Halloween parties in the city. But now with three kids in tow? We'll definitely be doing the whole trick-or-treating/giving out candy thing. But guess what? I wouldn't have it any other way! Have a Happy Halloween, you guys.
