So I promised you that now since our wedding is just around the corner... that I would start sharing a little more of our wedding planning journey. In addition to that, I thought it would be fun to share with you some of our pre wedding celebrations!
This past Saturday was my bridal shower! Planned & coordinated by my sister (and matron of honor) Lauren... My bridal shower was truly a special and memorable day! I was absolutely spoiled! The gifts just kept on coming! More importantly, I felt overwhelmed with love! I truly have the best friends a girl could ask for and the best family ever! So here is a little sneak peek into my journey as a bride!
Here I am with my friend Jackie...

Early on I decided to have just one shower instead having one where I just invited friends & another where I just invited family. I just think it made it a lot of fun this way! There is just something absolutely fun & special about seeing so many generations in one room! Here is a picture of my family doing what we do best....eating, drinking & socializing!
Here is a picture of me and my friend Abigail!
And here is another picture of my bridal party!
After we mingled & nibbled on some food it was time for the games to begin! I had so much playing this game and it's safe to say that my guests did too! We had a lot of laughs! It was tough to find a picture from this shower where I was not smiling!

And the gifts! Oh the gifts! I was honestly truly blown away by how much I got spoiled! I felt like the gifts just kept on coming! I'll spare you all of the pictures of me holding up my kitchen gadgets! But ...I just had to show you these plates! It's part of an entire outdoor collection! Perfect for summer picnics and BBQ's... I cannot wait to make use of these! And of course I absolutely love the colors!
Here are a couple more pictures of me with my bridal party!
My sister Lauren is in pink! She is the matron of honor & also the one responsible for throwing me such a beautiful bridal shower! I'm in the polka dots!
Here is a picture of the food table! Look at how beautiful it all was! There was definitely no shortage of food! Everyone absolutely raved about all of the good food.
Lauren truly out did herself by creating a special dessert buffet! Keylime cupcakes, buckeyes, chocolate covered strawberries and banana cream cake! Plus check out the adorable candy bar!
Want to see how it all came together? Here are some pre- bridal shower pics as well as some pictures of the shower decor! ♥
This is my mom and my sister at Costco the day before the shower! Lauren ordered specialty flowers from Costco and decided to create all of the centerpieces herself!
The colors of the flowers were absolutely gorgeous!

Lauren decided to set up an entry table at my shower. My sister displayed two photos of Brad & I plus she had name tags made up in the color palette of the shower! Underneath each name there was a description (For example: mine said Chrissy- Bride-to-be, and my mom's said Dean- Mother of the Bride) This added touch made it nice because it was easy for everyone to know who was who and how they were related to me!
Where did Lauren get the soaps? She made them by hand of course! She's so crafty & creative.
She ordered all of the ingredients online & then purchased some lovely packaging that matched the overall look of the shower. {more pictures & details to come}

And here is another close up of the table runners that my mom made.
So as you can see...I had an incredibly special shower day! {Stay tuned for more photos! I will be posting the homemade invitations that Lauren made for my shower & some more info on the homemade favors she made}
