A Must-See Candlelit Ceremony in Fort Worth, Texas

Captured beautifully by Matt Allen Photography, today's Texas wedding is a total must-see. Sugar Creek Creative did an amazing job with the event design and styling with the incorporation of rentals from Sugar Creek Event Rentals. And these lush florals from Studio Tersilla? Talk about a swoon-fest.

The event space at The Ostreum was perfectly industrial and chic with a romantic candlelit ceremony and a reception featuring farm tables and twinkly lights. A closer look at the tabletops show that each place setting was set to perfection thanks to May I Serve U and Kristen McCurdy Studio.

From Taylor with Sugar Creek Creative, "I remember my first consultation with my bride, Kelsey, that started this Candlelit Romance theme. She had already booked The Ostreum (Fort Worth, TX) which is a super moody space that oozes warmth, history, and a bit of secrecy."

"She knew she wanted something timeless and romantic. She had already purchased her gown, a super light caramel-pink colored Mori Lee gown and had a few images saved on Pinterest that gave me some insight into her personal style."

"Having worked at The Ostreum several times before, I knew I wanted to be able to bring as much light as possible into the space to give it that super glowy romantic feel that she craved."
"I went to the proverbial drawing board and focused in on a color palette of cream, light caramel-pink, gray, dark gray and navy."
"Her maids gowns were going to be navy and the guys were going to be in black. Since the bridal party were going to be in the dark colors with an already naturally moody venue, I needed all the light I could bring in including white/bleached/cream florals."
"Her design was candle-centric with an octagon ceremony setup showcasing them in the center with their officiant. The bridal party and parents all sat in front of them at the altar, equally witnessing their nuptials in this super intimate space."
"I lined the entire ceremony space with candles and also created semi-circles of candle-light at the altar for an uber romantic feel."
"As a nod to Kelsey's heritage, her maids walked in and knelt to light an Indian diya as part of their entrance in to the center altar space."
"The reception area was kept as minimal as possible with a focus on candlelight and clear bud vases featuring cream/caramel colored florals (zero greenery)."
A beautiful three tier cake from Gold Ribbon Confections was simple and chic.
Advice from the bride: "Make it simple, things will go wrong. Don’t dwell on the little things. Make sure you’ll be comfortable in your dress for hours of pics, dancing, sweating, and make sure to take a few moments during the evening to just stop and take it all in.
And advice from the groom ..."spend every moment of the night together because you only get that night once! Oh, and hire Taylor Bradford- of Sugar Creek Creative and your night will be everything you dream of."
