A Modern Fairytale with Just A Hint of Dusty Blue Magic
With event planning by Danielle Roe Events, and beautiful captures from Ashley Baumgartner Photography, today's real wedding out of Northern California comes to us with nods to classic fairytales, a magical romantic dusty blue color palette, and elegant touches that feature classic Disney elements.
Magic was abounding throughout Kara and Drew's special day at Park Winters in Winters, California. Subtle touches of sparkle were perfectly paired with the couple's chosen palette of dove grey, dusty blue, soft greenery and fresh, modern neutrals.
Guests were treated to a stunning evening affair, enjoying the spectacular modern country estate and the many breathtaking vistas and lush hidden nooks that the venue has to offer unsuspecting revelers.
While elegant glamour set a beautiful tone for the evening, the couple's playfulness bubbled through in their touches of Disney magic sprinkled like pixie dust throughout the affair.
The bride was stunning in her Maggie Sottero a-line ballgown, and their touching personal vows, read from customized vow books, were delivered in front of an intimate setting under the majestic oak trees of Park Winters surrounded by only their closest friends and family.
Beautifully embellished flats from Badgley Mischka were the perfect choice for this fairytale day.

While guests awaited their chance to take photos with the couple and the team at Ashley Baumgartner Photography, they enjoyed delicious farm to fork bites from the onsite catering team and bubbly sips from Marv’s Bar, appropriately named after the couple's sweet rescue pup.
Designed and styled by the team at Danielle Roe Events, the use of glass and mirrored vessels paid particular homage to some of Kara’s most treasured tales of true love.
From the white felted hidden Mickey's that graced the bridal bouquet, to the custom silhouetted table numbers revealing the couple’s favorite fairytale characters and the delicately handcrafted Mickey inspired macarons from Rose Quartz Cakery, special touches delighted guests at every turn.
Quirky, customized cocktail napkins with Fun Facts about the couple, also kept guests entertained during cocktail hour.
Additionally, the thoughtfully curated use of lush velvets from La Tavola Linen and mixed metals throughout the reception space caught the evening light and provided the perfect glittering setting for guests to celebrate to the tunes of Function 45 DJ.
While the blustery winds and dry climate made the couple's wish for a sparkler first dance impossible, Kara and Drew didn't miss a beat and dazzled in their beautifully performed first dance under their custom monogram inside Park Winter's stunning modern barn.
After the sweet couple celebrated with toasts and cake, the groom, in true Prince Charming fashion, surprised his princess with a musical performance, singing her favorite Ben Rector song while playing the keyboard.
The bride, Kara, was completely surprised and overwhelmed with emotion, as were the guests, at this beautiful tribute of their love and devotion to each other.
The two concluded the evening by Facetiming a grandmother who couldn’t be there and dancing the night away with their bicoastal best friends. It was the perfect fairytale day.
