An Elegant Barn Wedding with Rich and Radiant Colors
What happens when rustic charm meets sweet romance? All kinds of lovely things, that's what! With soft and pretty palette featuring shades of lavender, dusty rose, and a pretty pop of pink, this wedding day came to life so beautifully and I can't wait to share with you how special it all was!

Getting ready was a special time for the bride...

And how gorgeous is she?

She's absolutely glowing!

Invitations designed by Create the Cut complimented the overall look of their day...

But it was the look on the groom's face that takes the cake!

Absolutely adorable, I say!

And the detailing on this gown? Swoon.

Her hair, the silhouette of this gown, the detailing!

So absolutely gorgeous, if you ask me!

And I think it's safe to say that her groom was on cloud 9 to see his bride!

And can we just take a second to talk about how utterly breathtaking this bouquet is?

The bridal bouquet was a mix of dahlias, dusty miller, purple ruscus, tulips, eucalyptus, and roses.

And his charcoal suit? Such a lovely compliment to the venue's rustic feel.

For real though, so many of these captures are so seriously frame-worthy!

And how cute is this puppy?

Although their guest count was large, the ceremony itself was very intimate with just their officiant, and the bride and groom at the alter, no bridal party.

The bride and groom did communion together (just the 2 of them).

So special. So sweet. And how cute are these two?

The decor for the reception included vintage inspired details and modern touches sprinkled throughout.

From the bride, "I chose The Elegant Barn because it allows me to have a more traditional ceremony and reception inside of the venue..."

"...but for the Hors D'oeuvres Hour we can use the courtyard to create a fun backyard feel, where we will have lawn games and a photobooth."

Swoon.

"...Then, as the indoor reception is winding down guests will have the option to go back into the courtyard for s’mores."

Round tables were set up with lanterns centerpieces, bud vases with flowers, and a few votives.

And this cake? Such a beauty, if you ask me!

Congrats to the newlyweds! Their night was filled with dancing and celebration...

And lots of love! Because in the end, that's what it's all about. Am I right?
Eternal Event Design did a fantastic job with the floral design and with a venue as lovely as The Elegant Barn, it's no wonder this wedding turned out so gorgeous!
And lucky for us April Maura Photography was behind the lens to capture all of these sweet and heartfelt moments as they revealed themselves, moment by moment.

When asked what advice do you have for brides planning their wedding? The bride had this to say...
- "Elope! I almost wish we had so we could have avoided the stress of planning a large wedding and so that the few people who genuinely care about the couple are there, thus making the marriage ceremony more intimate and special."
- "Try to avoid saying “We’ll figure it out” when it comes to all the wedding details. The earlier you “figure it out” the better. I said it hundreds of times through the process and Kyle said it even more."
- "Because if you get in the habit of saying “We’ll figure it out,” then just weeks before your wedding you still won’t have the little details figured out and you’re going to feel bombarded with little decisions a week before the wedding."
- "If you can rent decor through your venue rather than purchasing decor and bringing it to the venue yourself, do it. Although it might seem like a good idea to buy things yourself and try to resell them after the wedding I don’t think it’s worth the trouble."
- "I now have a room full of wedding day decor that I need to get to the venue the morning of the ceremony, then at the end of the ceremony that same night I’ll need to have people pack it all back up and take it to a predetermined location when I won’t even be there to help pack it up."
