Color Story: Coral + Cobalt

So if you follow me on Instagram, then you know that yesterday I was having a bit of a color conundrum myself. Okay, so maybe it was a "conundrum", per se, but I was having a tough time choosing between these two necklaces! And so I asked for your help! Which one did you like best, I wondered? And the response was mixed. Some of you guys really liked the mint and pink, but the majority of you guys loved this coral and cobalt mix.

I had such a hard time deciding which one to buy. I personally loved the cobalt and coral for Summer, and I loved the pink and mint for Winter and Spring. And so I did what any girl would do...I bought them both!

But it got me to thinking. About color and how you can totally find inspiration anywhere you look. And so to prove it to you guys, I decided to use this necklace as inspiration for a wedding color palette. And so off to the drawing board I went... and here you have it! A perfect-for-Summer look that, truth be told, has me wishing I could have a "do-over" wedding.

So what do you think? Are you liking the way these colors work together? I've incorporated some beachy patterns to give it a pretty, Summer feel. And I couldn't love it more.

Urban Palm Springs: A Styled Shoot Full of Color

Here for your daily dose of color? Well, get excited, guys, because today's styled shoot is the kind that will inspire you to no end. I'm just going to go ahead and say it! The Forever Bride team totally nailed it. I'm so in love with this gorgeous, warm palette of pinks, yellows and oranges. But what takes this color palette to the next level of pretty? The copper tones. I couldn't love them more.

Combining the look of urban city backdrops with a desert inspired feel, Whimsy Events & Design truly created a picturesque concept. Shot by the talented, Noah’s Ark Photography, each and every detail was captured so beautifully.

Ideas that I'm loving from this shoot: modern white flower boxes, the cutest little cactus details, metallic square chargers, spotted linens, and the cutest little dessert display I've ever seen. Oh, and I can't go without mentioning the little sign that reads, "life is hard, have a cupcake." I love it!

More from the stylists, "Shot on a beautiful spring day in St. Paul, Minnesota, at the fabulous A'bulae, it could not have been a more perfect day. Shooting on the rooftop with blue skies and sunshine really allowed for the "Urban Palm Springs" shoot to have an authentic feel.
