Color Story: Blue and Brown

Fall is the perfect time to incorporate deep, moody hues like this navy blue and brown color palette. Why so perfect, you ask? Well, I don't know about you, but I still kinda follow the belief that Fall and Winter weddings work best with darker colors and Summer and Spring weddings work best with lighter shades.

Now, that's not to say that darker shades can't look lovely for the warmer months and vice versa, but more often than not I find myself gravitating towards darker colors come fall.

I've come to realize that I'm sort of drawn to colors that come from nature. You see that gorgeous stonework on that chapel? And what about this rustic, wood slice centerpiece? I find that by focusing on incorporating colors from nature you also ultimately end up including a lot more texture into your design than you might have otherwise. And texture really does make a difference.

So over to you... what do you think about the way these colors work together. Blue and gold tones? Anyone a fan? And in what ways do you feel texture plays a part in your overall wedding designs?
