Autumn Sunlight: Peach and Lavender

The one thing that I really, really, love about this time of year is the gorgeous sunlight. And being that I love to take photos myself, I have to admit that I'm always on the lookout for those perfect, light-filled spots.

I could spend an entire day out in the woods during those cool, clear, crisp days of color. The sun's at a lower angle for a longer time. And the sunsets? Well, they are nothing short of amazing. Autumn light illuminates everything so beautifully. It makes everything sparkle.

Autumn really is the perfect time for rich and romantic color palettes. But surprisingly, you don't have to go the super rich route to make a statement. I love this palette of lavender and peach. I threw in some deeper shades of coral and orange to give it a bit of depth. But overall, I kept it pretty vibrant. It's a mix of light and dark that really works.

I love the idea of incorporating real lavender into your wedding day. And when it comes to cakes? This rustic, unfrosted look always has my vote! Such a beautiful texture and one that truly comes across beautifully. And to round out this look? Stripes and sparkle really make a sweet statement. Wouldn't you agree?
