Party Palette | Teal Tones

May 31, 2013 / 13 Comments
Hi friends and happy Friday! Today I'm excited to share with you this Paris inspired palette. I for one have always been fascinated with all things Paris, and so when I saw these images I just knew I had to put together this color palette. This palette ranges from deep teal to almost an electric blue. And of course there are some pretty neutrals like gray and antique gold and even a touch of bronze, but for palette purposes I thought it would be most fun to highlight this range of amazing teal tones.

I really love this palette and I hope you can see why! In terms of season, I think it could work for any season really. But if I had to choose, I think it would work best for the Fall or Winter seasons. I suppose I like to see deep, moody hues being used during the cooler months. So what do you think? Are you liking these teal tones? And if so... where might you use these colors? Your wedding? An upcoming party? Or maybe as inspiration for a bedroom?

Color Story | Berry Loves Burlap

May 16, 2013 / 22 Comments
Hi friends! So today my color obsession continues with this pretty little palette. I don't know about you, but for my entire life I've been drawn to berry infused hues like fuchsia and fig. They're warm, they're beautiful and they're the kind of colors that add romance to any look. Want to know which colors they look best with? Warm neutrals are the way to go! And because I'm a huge fan of handmade, why not throw a little burlap into the mix?

Burlap and twine really do have a way of adding such a charming feel. Wouldn't you agree? Also I just love how this is taking on a very elegant feel as well. Who says you can't have a elegant and handmade affair? So what do you think? Does this warm and inviting palette capture your heart the way it does mine? I hope this adds a pinch of pretty to your day!

Party Palette | Aqua, Sea Foam, Blue + Mint

May 15, 2013 / 13 Comments
Hello, loves! And happy mid-week to you! I'm not sure what it is, but here lately I've found myself completely in love with shades of blue and green. Maybe it's the fact that I've just returned from a week away at the beach? Or maybe it's simply the calming nature that I'm drawn to? Whatever the case may be, one thing is for sure... I definitely can't get enough of these calming hues.

Because what's not to love? Also I really like how this palette easily incorporates the softness of sea foam and mint and yet, still makes room for a good dose of punchy color. Like that vibrant aqua! It's this balance between softness and brightness that really captures my attention. So what do you think? Might you consider this palette for your upcoming wedding, party or project? I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Guest Blogger | Emmaline Bride | Coral + Gray

May 9, 2013 / 6 Comments
Hello! My name is Emma from Emmaline Bride and it is a pleasure to guest blog at The Perfect Palette today! When Chrissy asked me to pick a favorite wedding palette to share, many came to mind; however, one of my favorite wedding palettes is coral and gray. I love this palette because it's so versatile. You can plan a bold wedding with dark gray and an intense shade of coral - almost orange - or lighten it up with a soft, more delicate shade paired with light gray. This palette is perfect for spring and summer weddings and looks both chic and sophisticated. Since I'm obsessed with handmade weddings, I've incorporated plenty of handmade coral and gray wedding finds, too, along with inspiration from real weddings. I hope you enjoy this palette as much as I do! Happy Planning!

Aloha Perfect Palette readers! Sara from Burnetts Boards here! I have to say that I was bowled over when Chrissy asked me to guest post while she takes a very well deserved break and I couldn't be more excited! We were tasked with coming up with our favorite spring color palette - definitely a tall order for me because my favorites change every day. What I have here is a modern take on spring pastels.

I love the idea of sprucing traditional pastels with bold punches of neon and some funky copper hues thrown in. It's much more fresh, modern, and fun!

Beach Bound!

May 3, 2013 / 5 Comments
Hi friends! And happy Friday! Today I just wanted to pop in to remind you all that I'm going to be taking a little break next week to spend some time with family at the beach! I actually snapped the below picture two years ago when we vacationed here last time. Needless to say, it's become a family tradition of ours to visit this area!

Now, on our last visit, we stayed in the yellow house (closest to the right). But this year, we opted for the peach house since we knew we would be needing a little more space. Why do we need more space, you ask? Well, since our last trip our family has grown! My hubby and I had twins (we already had a 2.5 year old little boy) and my sister adopted a little one as well! So that's a total of 4 grand kids now (in under 2.5 years mind you!). So off to the beach we go! But not to worry, friends! I wouldn't dare leave you hanging! I've actually invited a few of my favorite wedding blogger friends to come over next week and share their favorite color ideas with you. So get excited because there's plenty of pretty coming your way! Want to see what I'm up to at the beach? Be sure to follow me on my journey via Instagram here?

Color Story | Coral Loves Aqua!

May 2, 2013 / 15 Comments
So I know I made mention about going on a trip to the beach here soon. And so, I don't know about you, but when I find that a beach is in my very near future. It sort of makes it tough to think about anything else. And so with beach on the brain, I came up with this color story that incorporates shades of coral, pink, and aqua. To me this feels like tropical elegance.

And with subtle seaside inspired elements, there's no mistaking that this is the sort of palette that would work lovely for a destination wedding! I'm loving these bright and beautiful bridesmaid accessories and this amazing cake design. Want to know what else I'm loving? Take a look at that bride's wedding gown! That's not the sort of dress you see every day. And wow, it sure is a beauty! So tell me, what do you think about this color palette?
