{happy new year}: reflections + resolutions!

2012. Where do I even begin? Just the other day I was talking to my hubby about how our lives have changed so much. We went from a family of 3 to a family of 5. And as I sit here typing this I still can't wrap my head around the fact that this happened before celebrating our 3rd wedding anniversary! I guess it just still blows my mind. If you've been following me from the beginning you will know that I started this little blog of mine right after we got engaged! He popped the question in 2008, we married in 2009, had our first child in 2010 and then our twin girls were just born this July! To be honest, I'm still adjusting to our 'new normal.' But at the end of the day, I have to admit that I'm absolutely so blessed. So break out the sparklers because it's time to celebrate!

This year I feel blessed to have 3 very happy and healthy little kiddos, blessed to have a hubby who loves me with all his heart, and blessed to have a job that I'm excited to wake up to each day. And did I mention that it's one that fills my heart with such joy and fulfillment? Yep, it's true! One of my proud blog moments this year was definitely when we were named the #1 most followed brand on Pinterest. With over 320,000 followers, I'm so thankful to have had the opportunity to introduce what I love to do most with so many fans both old and new! I'm also proud of myself for branching out and creating a few new series this year! 

Most of all, I'm thankful for you guys! Thank you from the bottom of my heart! For every blog comment, every twitter follow, every re-pin and every ''like'' on Facebook - I so appreciate the love and support that I feel each and every day! What's in store for 2013, you ask? Well, my hope is to not only master the art of juggling, but to also leverage every opportunity to make the Perfect Palette a better, more beautiful place to visit. And although I'm not typically a resolutions sort of a girl, I will say this...In my heart of hearts, I truly hope to find more balance, to live more in the moment and to really focus on what matters most! Merry Christmas friends! It's definitely a special time of year! And so today I thought I'd put together a little snowy inspiration fit for celebrating Christmas! If you know me, then you will know that nothing makes this girl happier than a festive holiday celebration. That's why I'm absolutely smitten with this dreamy Winter scene. What could be sweeter than saying ''I do'' during the holidays? I love the idea of a sleigh ride in the snow followed by a sweet chapel ceremony. Looking for a festive drink to serve up at the reception? Might I suggest a little spiked eggnog?

It's easy to picture yourself in this wintery landscape. I'm so in love with all the sweet garlands and the pretty wreath. Little pops of red give it that charming appeal while everything else is kept simple and clean. There really is something to be said about exchanging vows during the holidays. Is anyone else in total denial that 2012 is almost coming to an end? I don't know about you, but for me this year has been a year full of life changes. Most notably, the birth of our twin girls. To say that I'm a busy girl would be the understatement of the year! Truth is, I'm beyond busy! So many changes in such a short span - I sometimes wonder where the time goes? I love it though, and I feel blessed beyond belief. So today I thought I'd put together some inspiration fit for ringing in the new year! Because what could be more fun than this glam party dress and those festive little cocktails?
