{farewell, summer}: ocean blues

September 27, 2012

{Blue, Teal, Aqua, Mint + White}

Fall is officially here, my friends! And although I'm absolutely loving every second of it, it just dawned on me that I completely forgot to wish Summer goodbye! So today I thought I'd properly say farewell to Summer with this ocean inspired palette. What happens when shades of blue, teal, aqua and mint get together? All kinds of pretty things, that's what. I don't know how you feel, but I am absolutely getting lost in this palette! It definitely is putting me in a vacation state of mind. Too bad I have no plans to take a vacation any time soon! In any case, I'm imagining all the pretty ways that these colors can be used for weddings and parties. And quite frankly... I'm loving just the thought of it! {continued...}

Details We Love
Wedding Table Decor + Aqua Bridesmaid Dress
For me, this table setting is absolutely eye catching! I'm so attracted to how these aqua colored candlesticks are contrasting with those teal colored wine glasses. I'm imagining a seaside wedding full of pretty details. Like a mint ombre cake! Because what's not to love about ombre? Oh, and if you're looking for a gorgeous bridesmaid look... I invite you to take a peek at this lovely little number. Nothing is prettier than gorgeous chiffon fabric like this. Plus, I'm absolutely loving the beach inspired necklace she's wearing. So... now that I've properly said goodbye to Summer... Please tell me... are you embracing Fall or are you missing Summer?

I love how vibrant this is- the darker blue really makes it pop.

Gorgeous jewel tones and adding white to the palette gives it a crisp, clean look.
