{Teal, Chocolate, Copper, Latte + Ivory}
Well, hello there pretty ladies and Happy Monday to you. I hope you all had a nice and relaxing weekend! This weekend I found myself cleaning out some stuff...and while I went through all of the boxes...I found myself reminiscing a lot. You know, just thinking about my past and the people who were once in it. For some reason, I was just completely emotional! And that, my friends, caught me completely off guard. Have you ever felt that way? Just completely surprised by your own emotions? In any case, some of the memories that resurfaced really made me think about a few things that I had buried for quite some time. It was almost as if I had locked those memories away. In any case, it was nice to revisit those memories, but at the same time I was surprised by how emotional I became. Sigh. Why must I torture myself like that? The truth is that I thought I had shut the door on those feelings long ago. Guess I was wrong. {continued...}

So I guess what I'm trying to remind you is that the heart is a very, very complex thing. We can be going about our daily lives completely happy and content. And then, bamn! Something happens and those little memories start creeping back. They take you back to a time and a place you thought you'd never revisit. Funny how things happen in life the way they do. So tell me...has planning your wedding brought forth any unexpected emotions? I remember those days!

A song came on the radio this weekend & knocked me back 10 years! The memories caught me off-guard & lingered for awhile. Craziness! As always, love the palette, especially the pop of teal.
I'm with you on this one. It's so easy to be taken back to another time and place.
What a gorgeous palette-and perfectly nostalgic.
Such a perfectly romantic Fall board. Beautiful! ...and I definitely know what you mean about old feelings coming to the surface every once in a while. I think it's a normal - it's important to remember where we came from and what we've overcome in the past.
Oh my goodness - this is a lovely palette. And I totally know what you mean about feelings resurfacing

i'm loving that dress! where did you find it?
I've had a very similar experience - the mix of feeling nostalgic mingled with regret and sadness for things that have passed and can not be changed, it's such a potent feeling isn't it? As sad as it's made me feel (for example, about a year ago I discovered a box of notes from my high school boyfriend that I had hidden away somewhere) it reminds you of how nice it is just to feel so deeply even if it is only for a moment or two.

I know exactly what you mean Chrissy, every person you connect with has a place in your heart as well as your memory. And those you are exceptionally close to hold an even bigger piece. You never get it back, so the door is always open for memories/thoughts/incidents and people to surprise you.
I know what you mean - whole heartedly.
Love this palette, btw.

We completely agree here at Sequoia Productions. We'd also like to say that we love the color palate you featured in this post! We are doing fall weddings on our blog this week and the palate we used incorporated shades of pink and brown like you have above. Great post!
