{With a Cherry on Top}: A Palette of Red + White

{Red+ White}

I don't know about you, but I love red in a way that I don't love most colors. I guess you could say it's definitely on my favorites list. I suppose what I love most is the fact that red is such an intense color that it truly makes a statement in small quantities. Take these yummy looking cherry topped cupcakes for instance. They're simple and sweet and that little pop of red really has a way of standing out! But here's the thing...red sort of has a bad rap for being overplayed when it comes to weddings. Am I right? I mean...I get it. Red is the color of love and so it doesn't make for the most unique color choice. So I had this idea...Not to sway all you red lovers out there who are considering using red for their weddings, but I propose that using red would make for such a fun engagement party and/or a bridal shower palette. {continued...}

Cherry Topped Cupcakes + Red Lipstick

I mean, don't get me wrong red can be used in all kinds of pretty ways on your wedding day! I just happen to think that the idea of using a red palette along with cheesy red hearts like the ones shown attached to this pretty pair of heels seems sort of fun and playful and a theme best suited for a pre-wedding party. Oh, and being a red lipstick girl myself, I can definitely appreciate anyone who decides to rock red lipstick. To me, there is nothing more exciting than to see red used in a way that pops! So whether you opt to use red on your wedding day or for one of your pre-wedding parties, just know that you have my approval!
