{An Autumn Affair}: A Palette of Black, Latte, Camel, Ivory + White

August 5, 2011

{Black, Latte, Camel, Ivory + White}

There's something about the how it feels when the seasons change that I'm addicted to. I don't know about you, but I've always romanticized the idea of getting married in the fall. Be it the changing leaves or the crisp, cool air... I seriously can't wait 'til I start to feel that change. Maybe that's why I'm already thinking of pulling out my box of fall decor? I guess I just kind of think there's something so cozy about the season. That's why when bride-to-be, Alisha wrote to me with this palette in mind, I was excited to put together some inspiration for her.

I think there's a lot to be said about a palette that can communicate a charming, chic yet elegant look all without having to use a whole lot of color. Don't get me wrong, I love bright, bold color... But there's definitely something very attractive about a subdued palette that manages to communicate a bold look. Take this palette for instance!

Don't you just love the looks of this wedding table set up in what looks to be the attic of an old farmhouse? Oh, and what about that vintage key escort card display? I just love how this palette seems to blend a rustic setting with a sophisticated chicness. Oh, and at a loss for what to use for table numbers? A wine bottle table number looks pretty fun to me.

Love those key escort cards, what a great idea! A very beautiful and rich color palette. Fall weddings can be so romantic and fun to decorate. Fall is one of my favorite seasons to decorate for, cant wait to pull out the pumpkins and fall decor.

Would love to have you on our wedding blog if you would be interested! ITs Friday!! Happy weekend! <3

I love fall and I love your palette. When I married it was a tough decision which season to marry in (fall or winter) -we chose winter. But, my heart sings when fall approaches and I think I'm with you in that I'm ready to pull out my fall decorations.

Your beautiful palette inspires me to get cracking on my fall bridal jewelry pieces. :-)

I get so lost in your blog, the colors, the stories, the photos...it all just works! I love stopping by every day, although I also subscribe...LOL!!! I love the wine bottle table nubmers and the key cards. As a planner/designer and overall creator, I'm always looking to step outside of the box and do things differently. Great job, yet again. BTW, I appreciate your comments on my blog too...you should see the Fashion Friday dresses on there today.
