{Vibrant Vows}: Shades of Orange, Gray + White

{Shades of Orange, Gray + White}

Orange is my favorite color. But I'm pretty sure I've let you in on that little secret before, right? There is just something so vibrant, so lively and so very lovely about this fun packed color. I'm often asked what colors I used in my wedding. And although this wasn't my color palette, shades of orange were definitely in attendance when we said i do. Always a fan of gray, I think this palette is effortlessly eye-catching. Gray is the perfect color to anchor a wild and crazy color like orange. Gray subdues the orange a bit and really creates a smart and sophisticated palette. Some of the ideas I had for this wedding included those gray bridesmaid dresses. I'm in love with the differing necklines. Plus, who isn't in love with how those orange bouquets pop against the gray fabric of those dresses? Another idea I can't go without mentioning are those button escort cards. What a fun idea. They're vintage in some ways, but they also come across as particularly modern in their display. {continued...}

Bridesmaid Dresses + Centerpiece Idea

Oh, & aren't you loving this centerpiece? I admittedly loving smaller displays here lately. Too often I see florals that are large and overdone. There is definitely a time & place for such centerpieces. Like for example, the sort of weddings that David Tutera throws. Love his weddings! But generally speaking, if you're not having a over-the-top affair, I personally like to see a smaller display. Plus, going smaller is easier on your pocketbook! Did I just say pocketbook? I'm sounding like my grandma! I guess it's warranted though since next week I turn 31. How did this happen? I was seriously just 12! Anyways, back to this palette...I really love the gray linens used on the tabletops. Definitely makes that ordinary looking white china look pretty special, right? So what do you think? Do you love this palette?
