Walking in a Winter Wonderland: Gold, Latte, Ivory & White

{Gold, Latte, Ivory & White}

Gold is the new 'it' color for Winter weddings! I think there is just something really special that happens when you combine the warmth of gold with latte. Add in a little snow white and vintage ivory and you have the makings of a beautiful Winter wedding! I really love this look! One of the ideas I think is especially fun is the mantle/fireplace display. I can see that looking really nice in rustic venues like lodges or even a log cabin! Another thing I'm really loving is the little wrap that the bride is wearing. It's full of texture and fuzzy goodness! Plus, who isn't loving the idea of incorporating the phrase, "and they lived happy ever after" into things like favors and programs? Such a pretty wedding color palette & so easy to pull off too!

Dashing Through the Snow: Shades of Blue, Silver & Ivory

{Powder Blue, Teal, Silver, Snow White & Ivory}

Sometimes it's nice to blend shades of blue with silver! Throw in snow white and ivory for this perfect palette for Winter. For this wedding, Ella wrote to me about wanting a wedding that came across as sophisticated, elegant and whimsical. For her, I came up with this palette. I love the idea of spray painting manzanita branches silver and attaching candles to the branches. What a beautiful display! Candlelight really does create such ambiance! She also mentioned that her wedding would be a small gathering of her closest friends and family and would be held at her family's home. I love the idea of using traditional holiday decor such a wreaths and bows to spruce up the front door. Oh, and who isn't loving those festive lanterns! Such an inviting display! By using a combination of texture & color, this bride is sure to have a special day that she will remember for a lifetime!

Thanksgiving I Do's: What Are You Thankful For?

{Burnt Orange, Latte, Chocolate Brown, Gold & Ivory}

I absolutely love Thanksgiving! It certainly is on the top of my list in terms of favorite holidays of mine. What's not to love about it? You get time off work, an excuse to stuff yourself with all kinds of yummy comfort foods, not to mention the most important part of the holiday-which is no doubt spending time with friends and family and really giving thanks for all that you are blessed to have.

And the best part is, Thanksgiving is just a few days away. Before getting married, I always spent the holidays at my parent's house, but now that I am married and have a baby, it's definitely important to make the rounds! We're headed 4 hours south this Thanksgiving and we cannot wait to introduce our baby boy to more of his family members!

I feel so blessed in so many ways. I truly am thankful for my baby's sweet smiles, my husband's big bear hugs, for the true friends that I have in my life, for my little cozy home & for the love that I'm surrounded by each day! If you have a moment, please share what you're thankful for in the comments section. I'd love to hear them! Oh, and here's a little wedding color palette inspired by Thanksgiving! Enjoy!

{A Lovely Winter Wedding}: Antique Gold, Silver & Ivory.

{Antique Gold, Silver & Ivory}

Sometimes it's really nice to see a very soft palette! I happen to think that Winter weddings are the perfect time to use a soft palette accented by metallics. Metallics are great because they instantly dress up a palette. They bring out an elegance and a certain magic that can't be brought to life otherwise. I really love this combination of gold, silver and ivory. I think there is something really romantic about it. Some of my favorite ideas in this board are those fun and flirty bridesmaid's dresses! That's definitely a dress that your friends will wear again! Plus, who is not loving that candlelight display! {continued...}

Creating a soft ambiance, candlelight is such a nice and cheap way to really add to the overall affect of your wedding! Oh, and I'm really loving the idea of giving your guests beautiful wine stoppers as favors. Soft, sultry, and definitely perfect for Winter, there is just something about this palette that I'm in love with. What about you? So how are you feeling about this gold wedding palette? It's no secret that I'm a fan...but what about you? There is something so romantic and sophisticated about this look. Any brides-to-be out there who are considering a shade of gold? Do tell! xo

Evergreen & Snow: A Holiday Inspired Wedding

{Sage Green, Latte & Ivory}

As the holidays get closer and closer I find myself more in love with Winter as I think of all the beautiful color palettes that the season brings. One of my favorite color palettes for Winter is the simple look of pairing sage green with ivory. The natural greens seem to really go nicely with the cool contrast of ivory. Just imagine a forest of pine trees blanketed by snow. Romantic, rustic and perfect for the season, this palette really is effortless. I absolutely love how those beautiful wedding invitations by The Wedding Outlet mimic those beautiful pine trees by The Pottery Barn! And who doesn't love the look of those gorgeous bridesmaid's dresses? Love those! They are from David's Bridal, but unfortunately they are from a few seasons ago, so you can't get them now! But don't fret--you can acheive that same look by simply opting to go with a couple different necklines!

Sleigh Bells Ring: A Palette of Cranberry & Taupe

{Cranberry & Taupe}

As Winter approaches, I start to imagine all kinds of beautiful ways to have a Winter wedding! Winter is a special time where family & friends get together to celebrate all that is good! And so what better time to get married than during the holidays? There is already that magical feeling in the air. I absolutely love all the beautiful colors that you can use for Winter weddings. Cranberry and taupe really is pretty, I think. The cranberry gives you that burst of rich and vibrant color, while the taupe acts as a neutral which makes for a timeless, rustic, romantic look. For this palette, I used all kinds of fun ideas! One I'm really loving is serving up red velvet cake in lieu of the traditional wedding cake! Oh, and who does not love the idea of a horse drawn sleigh for a reception send off? Check out all the holiday palettes I put together last year! I put together one palette for each day in December! {continued...}
