{A Fun Summer Wedding}: A Palette of Fuchsia, Light Pink & Navy Blue

June 30, 2010

{Fuchsia, Light Pink & Navy Blue}

Summer is here and so is one of the most exciting seasons for wedding colors! It's such a great time of year & definitely a fun time to break out those bold and vibrant colors! For this wedding, I wanted to create a color palette that would work perfectly for a bride who was all about the fun factor! In her emails to me she spoke about how excited she was to gather her friends and family and how she so looked forward to dancing the night away. {continued...}

{Equestrian Themed Wedding}: A Palette of Peach & Shades of Brown}

June 25, 2010

{Orange, Peach, Chocolate Brown, Latte & Light Yellow}

There are definitely times when I stumble across a particular color palette and a particular theme and I say to myself "wow, this is gorgeous, if I could only get married all over again." And that is exactly what I thought to myself when I recently saw this wedding posted over at Snippet and Ink. I just loved how this color palette was brought to life! Peach & shades of brown really do compliment one another and make for such a pretty color palette especially for the late Summer months or even going into Fall. {continued...}

Also there is just so much you can do with an equestrian themed wedding! I absolutely love the idea of offering pony rides for kids, the horse shoe symbolism that you can use throughout the wedding on things like menus and programs...oh, and who is not loving that bride's riding boots? Super charming & definitely fitting for a wedding out in the country.

{A Summer Wedding in the Country}: A Palette of Blues

June 21, 2010

{Navy Blue, Slate Blue & Light Yellow}

Summer is upon us and so is one of the busiest seasons for weddings! And I, for one, love Summer weddings! It's such a beautiful time of year & definitely a fun season when it comes to color! For this wedding, I wanted to create a color palette that would work perfectly for a sort of old-fashioned, country setting. A palette that was sort of low-key and approachable, nothing too bold, but one that also allowed me to infuse a sort of vintage feel as well. So off to the drawing board I went... and here you have it! {continued...}

June 16, 2010

{Coral, Peach, Ivory & Shades of Green}

As we head into the Summer months and say goodbye to Spring, I thought I'd put together a palette perfect for this time of year. I don't know about you, but a garden wedding has always been sort of sweet venue choice in my opinion. When I think garden wedding I think of a small, quaint gathering of friends & family. I think about simplicity. There are so many ways to make a small wedding feel charming and that's why I'm loving this collection of ideas! {continued...}

{A City Chic Wedding}: Yellow & Black

June 14, 2010

{Yellow & Black}

Nothing thrills me more than helping a bride who is in distress about her wedding color palette. This bride-to-be knew one thing & that's that she wanted to use a bright yellow as her primary color. Stressed as to what to pair it with... I explained that perhaps she should pair it with the obvious color. Classic black. I mean how could you go wrong? Yellow and black go hand in hand. Wouldn't you agree? {continued...}

{A Classic Duo}: Red & Black

June 8, 2010

{Red & Black}

The combination of red and black has long been a classic look for weddings. One that seems to a top pick for brides around the world. And although there is nothing very unique about the pairing, sometimes it's just nice to see a classic palette done in a really fun and hip way! For this bride my goal was take this palette make it pop by choosing patterns & textures that really made for a elegant and fun wedding! I love the damask detailing found on those invitations and I love how that same pattern is sort of mirrored by the lace that is on the bridesmaids dresses. It's details like this that really bring a look together! And who isn't loving those handcrafted clutches? What a wonderful gift to any bridesmaid!

But for those of you who are...rest assured you're not alone! There is something so fun about this palette. Any brides-to-be out there who are considering red + black? Do tell!

There is no better time to use the color apple green than Spring and Summer! It's just one of those colors that was made for these seasons! Bright, vibrant and full of fun, apple green looks really great when paired with navy blue! I have to admit, when I got Allie's email to me about this color palette, I was beyond excited to put together some fun inspiration & instantly had ideas about all the little details! So here are my ideas for her upcoming wedding! First of all bridal party attire is a must when it comes to figuring out the look for your wedding! Bridal Party Attire & Table Number Design

Invitations and accessories were all chosen to coordinate while vibrant green bouquets stood out against the navy blue color of the fabric. Attention to detail was paid in many ways like the place cards that were handwritten by a professional calligraphist and the fun table numbers! As a special treat guests enjoyed apple flavored signature cocktails!
