Williams Sonoma really is a special store!
I seriously cannot think of a better place to stock up on all of your home necessities than Williams Sonoma! That's why when my husband I were trying to determine which places would be perfect for us to register at, Williams Sonoma was definitely the first on our list!

I mean what girl hasn't had dreams of owning her own KitchenAid Mixer? I know I sure did! My only problem of course was trying to figure out which color KitchenAid Mixer I wanted! Of course I was in heaven with all of the color choices available!

{KitchenAid Artisan Stand Mixer~ Empire Red, Buttercup Yellow & Cobalt Blue}

Naturally I had to go with the red one of course because it matched my overall decor & you know how I am about color coordinating!

Not only do they have just about everything you could possibly need for your new home and life together, but they also offer all kinds of really great specials when you set up a registry!

For example, did you know that once you've registered for your KitchenAid Pro 610 Stand Mixer, Williams Sonoma will send you a free gift valued at $19.95?

And get this~ when you add $450 worth of Wüsthof items to your registry, you'll receive a free gift valued at $20. Furthermore, when Wüsthof cutlery purchases from your registry total $450 or more, you'll receive a gift valued at $55.

{Wüsthof Grand Prix II 8-piece Knife Block Set & Le Creuset Round Dutch Oven 7 1/4-Qt}

I for one love their cast-iron cookware! So what's exciting is that when you register for six or more pieces of Le Creuset cast-iron cookware, you'll receive a gift valued at $20. And as an added bonus, when your friends and family have purchased $500 or more of Le Creuset gifts for you, you'll receive a gift valued at $150! Yeah, I know, exciting isn't it?

{All-Clad Ultimate Chicken Roaster & Stainless Measuring Cups & Spoons}

Equally exciting is that when you register for $500 or more of All-Clad products, Williams Sonoma will send you a gift valued at $30. Once your friends and family have purchased $1500 or more of All-Clad gifts from your registry, you'll receive a gift valued at $120.

{All-Clad Stainless Steel 3-piece Mixing Bowl Set & Stainless Steel Skewers}

{A Wedding to Remember}: A Palette of Plum, Powder Blue & Gray

{Plum, Powder Blue & Gray}

Plum and gray have long been a favorite color combination of mine, so I thought why not put a spin on this duo by adding in this unexpected shade of powder blue! I'm absolutely loving how this palette feels! For this wedding, I imagined groomsmen in shades of gray with neckties varying from purple to blue. And to coordinate the ladies would wear stylish gray chiffon dresses accented by accessories in plum! Some of the accessories I'm loving in this board are that awesome pair of purple heels, and that gorgeous handcrafted silk clutch by Etsy seller Bagatellesandco! And and who doesn't love that invitation design by Wedding Paper Divas! Definitely a fun and modern approach to wedding day style! How do you feel about this palette? Could you see your wedding coming together in these colors?

{the perfect pear}: chartreuse, light green, yellow + gold

May 17, 2010 / 14 Comments

{Chartreuse, Light Green, Yellow + Gold}

The Perfect Pear theme has become quite popular in that past few years! Typically brides choose invitations that have images of two pears nestled together like this. And then what happens is they go pear crazy! They have pears on their cakes, pears on their favors, pears incorporated into their centerpieces~ you get the idea! I thought I'd put together more of a subtle pear themed wedding inspiration to simply show you that sometimes less is more. This beautiful palette was a lot of fun to work with! Dresses by J. Crew were a fun choice for bridesmaids and I just love the varying styles! To incorporate the idea of pears into this wedding I did so mostly through food and drink again. {continued...}

So what do you think? Are you loving this palette as much as I am? I seriously can't get enough of these colors together. They truly look so romantic and pretty together! The perfect palette for your warmer months - like Spring or Summer!

{Blueberry Bliss}: A Palette of Shades of Blue.

May 13, 2010 / 14 Comments

{Navy Blue, Blue, & Slate Blue}

Following our fruit-inspired wedding series for the week, I thought why not put together a wedding inspired by blueberries! Blueberries are such a delicious treat, wouldn't you agree? And for a Summer or Spring wedding blueberries make a really fun theme! For this wedding I incorporated a subtle blueberry theme mostly throughout the food display! Topping cupcakes with berries makes such a lovely presentation and why not treat your guests to little jars of blueberry jam for your favors? I'm really loving patterns these days and with this color palette, they really seem to work. Why not throw in some gingham here and there on things like the guys shirts or even tablecloths? For bridesmaids I chose a collection of blue dresses that were unique and stylish. Pair those with cute handmade clutches and jewelry and you have a bridal party that's fit to be photographed!

{When Life Hands You Lemons}: Make Lemonade!

May 10, 2010 / 11 Comments

{Shades of Yellow}

I had so much fun putting together the last inspiration board with a strawberry theme that I thought to myself, why not put together an entire series of boards using various fruits as the main theme? Besides Spring and Summer are the perfect time to incorporate fun fruit-inspired themes! So with a lemon inspired wedding in mind, this is what I came up with! Quite frankly lemons & the color yellow kind of go hand in hand. So if you are using a yellow palette, you might want to think about using lemons here and there to convey a Summery, laid back vibe. Some of my favorite ideas in this board include the use of the lemon motif on the wedding cake, the beautiful handmade bridesmaids clutches and what better favor to give to your guest than lemon scented soaps! Oh, and this wedding would surely not be complete without an old timey lemonade stand and lemon iced cupcakes!

{Strawberries & Cream}: A Palette of Red & Ivory

May 7, 2010 / 13 Comments

{Strawberries & Cream}

Nothing says Summer like strawberry shortcake or any fruit for that matter! I don't know about you, but I've long been a fan of incorporating fresh fruit into the overall concept of a wedding. There is just something so simple and so sweet about the idea! Red is definitely a color that has been done over and over again in the world weddings~ but that's not to say you can't use red if it's your favorite color! Actually, I insist that you do! As you can see here, pairing red with a creamy ivory, and a fun theme like strawberries really does transform the color! Some of the ideas I'm loving in this board include those gorgeous satin sashes on the backs of those bridesmaids dresses! Talk about eye-catching. Oh, and check out those adorable baskets filled with strawberries and muffins! Those would make such memorable favors or even out-of-town baskets! Another idea I'm just loving is the strawberry cheesecake! Looks like a delicious way to say I do to me!

So how are you feeling about Red? If you know me, then you know I L-O-V-E red. But that's not to say that it's for everyone! Some people are just not red fans! But for those of you who are...rest assured you're not alone! There is something so fun about this palette. Any brides-to-be out there who are considering red?
