Jessica and Joey’s outdoor wedding at the Smith Barn has me feeling totally inspired in the best way possible! Captured by the talented Dream Love Photography, just one look and I knew that this was a wedding that I had to share! From the vintage velour furniture on the lawn to the gorgeous and colorful bouquets, there was something pretty around every corner.
Decorated with twinkling lights and colorful pendants, the Smith Barn proved to be the perfect place to celebrate! Colorful, heartfelt, and oh-so pretty, I'm loving all of the handmade elements that were incorporated into this impossibly pretty wedding. For instance, instead of a traditional wedding cake, these two decided on a decadent dessert table full of different sweets and baked goods. The guests could hardly keep from sampling the table before it had been announced!
From the bride:
The best thing about our wedding day was absolutely everything. Every person was so full of love; it was palpable. I especially loved seeing guests’ reactions to our old family pictures on the gift table. It was the most intimate feeling seeing all our family and friends mixed up in pictures of each other. Advice I’d give to a bride planning this kind of wedding is to think of the wedding as an extension of your personality. It’s not a wedding - it’s YOUR wedding. Instead of deciding on a color scheme, incorporate all colors and patterns that “speak” to you. When everything comes together, you’re guests will feel “you.” The most important goal for us was that everyone felt love and had fun. If you’re asking yourself “do I need to spend a lot of money on this?” decide if it will benefit the group as a whole. No one will notice that you spent $400 on your shoes, but lawn games and a killer DJ will keep people smiling and busy all night.
