Styled Shoot | Pomegranate + Snow

Today’s Winter wedding inspiration shoot from Aralani Photography features some of the prettiest pops of color I've ever seen. Yep, that's right, you're about to get your daily dose of pretty.

Greek mythology says that the pomegranate, fruit of Persephone, daughter of Zeus and Demeter was tasted in the Underworld which resulted in the creation of the Winter season. Break apart the pomegranate’s outer layer and you'll reveal a crimson colored fruit hidden within a shroud of peachy flesh. It was this piece of Greek mythology which inspired the theme and color palette for this very shoot. Deep red, warm peach, and luxurious gold contrast so beautifully against the snow covered landscape. Wouldn't you agree?

Amazing details to be on the lookout for: petite clementine and raspberry cheesecakes dusted with pomegranate seeds, golden candelabras topped with succulents, a distressed farm table surrounded by fresh powdery snow, golden antique china, and these stunning organic floral arrangements that were locally grown.

Told you this shoot was packed with pretty! Can't get enough of this beautiful, bright and colorful shoot? Well, you're not alone because I am truly in awe over how this theme was brought to life. Snowy landscapes have always held a soft spot in my heart. But this just took my love for Winter weddings to a whole new level.
This lovely scene unfolded in the beautiful state of Oregon. Just one look at this pretty pine and cedar filled backdrop and I'm instantly feeling inspired. This tablescape. Can we all just take another look at this tablescape? A distressed tabletop was the perfect contrast to the more polished pieces like this amazing antique gold china. Perfect Planning Weddings + Events really did incorporate these warm and vibrant pops of color so nicely. To me, this shoot exudes an effortless elegance.
Oh, and I can't go without mentioning these perfectly placed pomegranates. I love how they didn't go pomegranate crazy. But instead were inspired to create an entire shoot based off of a color palette that is easily found in one of nature's fruits. It's a clever concept full of sophistication, beauty and Winter whimsy. This is one creative and colorful shoot. One that will surely go down in my books as one of the prettiest Winter scenes I've ever laid eyes on.
