{pantone color of the year}: emerald 17-5641
Did you hear the great news? Pantone just announced their 2013 Color of the Year! PANTONE® Emerald 17-5641, a lively, radiant, lush green, has just been named the Color of the Year for 2013! So exciting, right? Most often associated with brilliant, precious gemstones, the perception of Emerald is sophisticated and luxurious. For ages, this luminous, magnificent hue has been the color of beauty and new life in many cultures and religions. It’s also the color of growth, renewal and prosperity – no other color conveys regeneration more than green. For centuries, many countries have chosen green to represent healing and unity.
Want to know what I think about their choice? Bring on the Emerald, I say! And lots of it! Green has recently become one of the newest ''it'' colors for weddings. And there's definitely a reason why. Emerald is absolutely gorgeous! Plus did you know that the human eye sees more green than any other color in the spectrum? Pretty crazy, right? Personally, I love how this shade sparkles and shines! I suggest pairing it with antique gold to create a vintage feel. Going for more of a preppy vibe? Emerald pairs effortlessly with Navy Blue!

Today I'm sharing an Emerald palette made for Winter weddings! I went with a classic palette of emerald and snowy white. I don't know about you, but I'm absolutely in love with those green Fendi heels! Anyone else? So tell me... what do you think about Pantone's choice for the 2013 color of the year? Are you inspired? Can you imagine yourself incorporating it into your wardrobe? Your home decor? Or even your wedding day color palettes? If you said yes to any of those - I want to hear from you! Tell me what you love about Emerald!

Amazing color choice! Loved hearing your thoughts. Thanks for sharing.
Gorgeous color. Great choice xoxo
LOVEEEE green!
I love this. So beautiful for a winter wedding!
I LOVE THIS COLOR. SO CHIC!
Gorgeous color! But I thought Monaco Blue was the Pantone Color of the Year... and I was so excited-I told all my non-graphic design friends... receiving "huh? what's pantone" in response... thus sighing and reducing it to "the navy color of next year, whose name sounds like my name!" lol
I'm excited for emerald though. It's such a powerful, deep hue. If I was having a wedding (10 or 20 more years!), I would go for an emerald dress... bold, but I think it'd be beautiful. :)
Emerald! Just in time for the new Wizard of Oz movie!! =) I like the shade a lot, especially those shoes in the collage. They'd be perfect for a bride! =)

Yes, emerald is a trendy color and it gives such an elegant touch to everything you wear having this nuance.
Great color! I've always felt that sapphire green was an under appreciated color :)
