{Sponsored Post}: Michaels! Showcase Your Do-It-Yourself Style!

One of the things that I love most about wedding planning is the fact that it enables you to showcase your creativity. I don't know about you, but I myself was definitely what you would call a ''Do-It-Yourself Bride!" From making my own favors to creating all kinds of fun and unique details, I surely aimed to put my own spin and style on every aspect of our wedding day. I took pride in personalizing our wedding day and I think it's pretty safe to say that our guests took notice!

As I look back on my planning days, one thing I remember clearly is the many trips I would take to my local Michaels craft store. It seems as if every other weekend I was there gathering up supplies for my next project. And lucky for me, they always seemed to have a great selection for all of my crafting needs! And so today I thought it would be fun to share with you some of my favorite do-it-yourself wedding projects inspired by Michaels.

Twine and Yarn Wrapped Glass Vases
First on my list of favorites is this fun and easy idea! Looking for a way to instantly dress up your vases or mason jars? Why not give your wedding style a down-home vibe by wrapping glass jars with jute twine and yarn? Simply finish the look with a stylish shoestring bow and there you go! It's easy as pie and definitely creates a charming presentation. Don't you think? {click here for instructions}

Paper Bag Wedding Favors
Looking for a crafty project idea that's both budget friendly and lovely? These simple favor bags are easily dressed up with ribbon and die-cut paper. Definitely a sweet and simple idea that's full of character and charm. Plus, this is also so very simple to create! {click here for instructions}

Hanging Yarn Lanterns
Looking for a way to wow your guests? Why not light the night with your creativity? Your guests will surely be impressed with these unique wedding lanterns. To make these, all it takes are a few balloons, yarn and Stiffy® Fabric Stiffener! I personally think that these would make a fun and whimsical display. Why not hang them over a dance floor or even from the trees at an outdoor reception? {click here for instructions}

Silver Pail Favors
Looking for a way to incorporate a natural vibe into your wedding day? Try filling silver pails with succulents surrounded with moss and finishing with a decorative ribbon and twine. I love the addition of the monogram here. Such a personal touch if you ask me. Plus these earthly keepsakes are the kind that guests will surely keep long after you say ''I do.'' {click here for instructions}
