{Happy 4th of July}: Patriotic Party Ideas!

Well, hello there! And happy 4th of July! I don't know about you, but I absolutely adore this holiday! Because what's not to love about this day?

Yes, it's a day that we celebrate our independence! But it's also a day that we take time out of our busy schedules to spend time relaxing with family + friends. It's a day to like no other day, if you think about it. Maybe it's the red, blue + white that makes me smile. Or maybe it's the spectacular display of fireworks that I look forward to watching from the tailgate of our truck {in our driveway}. Whatever it is, no other day is quite the same as July 4th is. I'm not sure why it is, but grilling out on the 4th is one of my favorite things to do...

Perhaps it's being I'm a huge foodie and I love all the creative dishes that the 4th brings. To be honest, I'm the kind of gal who would be happy with a hot dog and a coke, but I also think it's kind of fun to find cute dessert recipes like these! Check out those refreshing looking fruit pops. They're so cute + they look pretty simple to make too. Oh, and who could resist these cupcakes topped with strawberries + blueberries? Bring a tray of these to your party today and you're sure to be the hostess with the mostess.

A huge fan of cupcake flags, I think these little American flags take the cake! Such an easy idea + absolutely charming. And if you're on a tight schedule like I am nowadays, you could even... {dare I say it} purchase store bought cupcakes and add your own flags! I know...I know, some of you might consider that cheating, but hey...you got to do what you got to do! BUT, if you're in the mood to actually make something from scratch + you have the time, why not create a lovely presentation like this trifle? Doesn't it look delish?

Although it might be a strange concept to some, I know there are quite a few brides-to-be who actually consider the 4th of July for their wedding date! I can definitely see this being a great date to say 'i do' especially if you're thinking of tying the knot in your hometown or perhaps in your very own backyard. There are so many patriotic, homespun ideas when it comes to the 4th that you'll definitely find no shortage when it comes to finding inspiration. I love the idea of a sparkler send off! Oh, and why not get your hands on some patriotic striped paper straws?

As you can see there really are so many patriotic party ideas. I honestly had a hard time choosing what to include in this post! There were SO many great ideas! And so I thought...why not share all of the lovely images I found on Facebook? Yep, did you hear? The Perfect Palette is on Facebook. Because who isn't? Okay, my mom isn't. But who else isn't? When it comes to planning a patriotic party, there are so many festive ideas. And these are just a few of my favorites. I love these star cupcake toppers, this fun table setting + this oh so preppy 4th of July outfit! That striped dress, her striped handbag + those over sized sunglasses! I seriously love it all. When it comes to the 4th, I love the stars, I love the stripes, and I love the red, white + blue. But most of all, I love that little kid feeling I get when I see the beautiful fireworks in the sky. So tell me, what are you looking to get into on this lovely 4th of July? I personally am off to celebrate the day at a family cookout!
