{Out in the Country}: A Palette of Red & Black

April 13, 2010

{Red & Black}

If not a vineyard, my second choice of wedding venue probably would have been out in the country on a quaint and charming rustic farm! Somewhere with a little red barn, cows grazing in the pasture, and just some place far removed from the hustle and bustle of the city. And here in the state of Georgia, there is no shortage of little red barns! I can just imagine so many thoughtful details that a bride could incorporate! I love the looks of the silverware tied together on the place setting complete with a handwritten place card! {continued...}

{top row}: books in black and white, sweet kisses, silverware, newlyweds in love, {middle row}: calligraphy, little bows, playful sign, handmade earrings, love, {bottom row}: invitations, newlyweds in love, wedding on the farm, fun corsage,

Details We Love
Lanterns Hanging from the trees & Newlyweds in Love

Oh, and what better way to incorporate your family into the day than by displaying old family photos on a clothesline. I imagine the tables dressed in red and white gingham table clothes while centerpieces would be kept sweet and simple. Out on the lawn family and friends would be invited to play games, or grab a seat under the trees that would be lit up with twinkling lanterns.

You have some really cool ideas! I'm pretty sure there's not a single red barn in South Africa, but we do have plenty of vineyards! Great collage.

I love this theme! I particularly liked the lanterns hanging from the trees, and the photo on the bicycle!

I love that shade of red. It's cheerful but still rich looking.

Reminds me of old fashion schoolhouse accents. Love your take on Red + Black - which can be so garish when not done well.

Those were my exact wedding colors! They were so beautiful together in our log cabin/restraunt venue.
