{A Rustic Dockside Ceremony}: Navy Blue & Chocolate Brown

August 21, 2009

{Navy Blue & Chocolate Brown}

A small dockside ceremony followed by a no frills down to earth reception in an old rustic barn. Sounds like the makings of a very special wedding doesn't it? This palette of navy blue and chocolate brown really is something special. And to think it all started with the beautiful blue china pattern. I think there is really something great about pairing a rustic locale with items that feel sort of vintage. Oh and who wouldn't want to stay in a rustic log cabin on their first night as husband and wife?

The Blushing Bride

Comfy and cozy is how I feel when I see these colors together. And what's best is that this palette is really easy to coordinate! Ladies were dressed in navy blue halter gowns while groomsmen were dressed to coordinate in chocolate brown tuxedos. For dessert I imagine chocolate cupcakes with blueberries on top!

Love the idea of a dockside ceremony. And, all creative uses for barrels.

SO elegant!! I love it, I just bought some Pottery Barn "something blue" plates and they look almost identical to the ones you have featured on here. Love it :)
