Summertime calls for bright & cheery colors that are just bursting with personality & good times. Wanting to make sure that your guests feel that "lets kick off our shoes & have a great time" vibe? Well so was Jamie, a bride-to-be from South Carolina who recently wrote to me and told me all about the wedding she was planning for next summer. Jamie told me that she and her fiance were planning a backyard wedding in the color scheme of bright yellows & greens. In my design, I dressed the bridesmaids in bright yellow sundresses and had them hold lovely bouquets made of tulips! Centerpieces of daisies made a fun and cheery statement as did the checkered table cloths. A quirky lemonade stand was a charming touch that was enjoyable by guests young and old. In lieu of a traditional wedding cake, guests were treated to pastries and other speciality desserts. As the wedding came to an end, the couple said their goodbyes & then hopped on a bicycle built for two.
