Inspiration Board 244: Lemon & Latte

May 12, 2009

{Yellow, Latte & Light Yellow}

When shades of yellow meet this creamy latte shade- something special really starts to happen. The perfect palette for any spring or summer bride-this lovely trio really does something for me. Allie wrote to me and asked if I could help her determine the perfect color scheme for her upcoming wedding. She told me that she knew she definitely wanted the color yellow as her primary color but other than that she was open to suggestions. Allie told me that she and her fiance wanted their wedding to feel modern and chic. So with that in mind, I decided to blend shades of yellow, white and this creamy latte shade.

Ladies were dressed in mustard colored gowns and held bouquets made of yellow blooms. In contrast, groomsmen wore latte colored suits that were custom made for the day. The ceremony took place in front of a fireplace which made for a truly special ceremony. In addition, long tables were used instead of round tables which truly added to the feeling of family & togetherness. Paper lanterns added to the modern feel of the room as did specialty chairs. Guests went home with carry out cartons full of sweet treats & a sincere thank you from the newlyweds.
