Inspiration Board # 218: In Black & White

{Black & White}

Black and white have a way of always looking effortless amazing together. Easy to pull off and easy on the eyes, this palette is great for any bride who wants to create a classic look for her wedding. Have a love for all things vintage? The vintage feel is really easy to create when you use these colors. This is a design that I created for Diane & Matthew. This young and hip couple was looking for a color palette that would really communicate their edgy, modern style but would still allow them to add some vintage touches. How did I pull it off? This design is all about graphics. Its communicated through shapes, lines & patterns. Damask patterns were used on from save the dates to favors. While polka dots were incorporated into the bridal party attire on the dresses & neck ties. For an added touch, I decided to use some sillhouettes in the design. This really added personality & made for a lovely conversation piece. Guests went home with mints that were creatively packaged & a sweet thank you from the bride & groom.

I love the hair piece and I found another one on the site I really love...but I think they are a little over priced at $210! I know its because they are handmade...and I could never make anything like it...but ive seen similar ones on Etsy.com for $30-$50.
