{Navy Love}: Navy Blue, Light Yellow & Powder Blue

{Navy Blue, Light Yellow & Powder Blue}

Looking for a way to kick your nautical themed wedding up a notch? I suggest combining navy blue with light yellow & light blue. Although I've designed some nautical themed weddings in the past, never have I thought to add a touch of yellow. Jill came to me with this color palette and with the request to put some inspiration together for the upcoming cape cod wedding she was planning on the beach. In my design, I used navy blue as the primary color. Custom made navy blue vests that incorporated a paisley design gave groomsmen a preppy look while bridesmaids wore blue dresses & yellow flats. {continued...}

Nautical Invitation Design +Table Setting

To further bring out the nautical theme, I chose a unique design for everything from save the dates to the acutal invitations themselves. Instead of just one wedding cake, I chose to have a 2 tier wedding cake on each table. These beachy cakes played the role of centerpieces, favors & dessert. Talk about saving money! Place settings were paid special attention in this design. To add the cape cod feel, I used striped table runners and created a seafood feast menu that featured lobster tail and crab legs. Mmmmm. Yummy! Guests went home with homemade candles and a sincere thank you from the bride & groom.

Things To Do On Cape Cod said...

My family and I really needed a time out from our work and a friend suggested we go to Cape Cod. When we arrived on Cape Cod, I was surprised that it was a serene place, but there were a lot of fun things to do on Cape Cod! We went sailing in Hyannis Harbor on a sailboat and then we went to Provincetown to watch whales do their thing. The experience was just plain awesome, we all feel energized when we got back to our house.
