{Slate Blue, Chocolate Brown & Ivory}
When Lynsey wrote to me about the wedding she was planning for October, I was really excited to put some creative inspiration together for her. Lynsey told me that her color palette was chocolate brown, white and slate blue. She even attached one of her monograms to give me a better visual idea. She said that she was thinking about using mainly white flowers and that they wanted it to feel like a cozy affair with a modern/sleek feel. In my design, I brought to life the palette she had been dreaming of. When dark chocolate brown meets up with the coolness of slate blue, what a powerful combination they make. In my design, I chose lovely floor length gowns for bridesmaids and had them carry bouquets of white hydrangea. Groomsmen wore slate blue designer suits which were unexpected and packed full of personality. A modern branch motif and some simple damask patterns were incorporated to give this wedding added interest. And of course, I incorporated the couples personalized monogram into their day on everything from save the dates to favors. Guests went home with hand rolled cigars and a sincere thank you from the bride & groom.
