{Autumn Elegance}: Burnt Orange, Gold + Copper

February 20, 2009

{Burnt Orange, Gold, Copper, Ivory + White}

Camille wrote to me and told me of her lovely plans to marry in a beautiful historic church. She told me that the church is mostly yellow, but that she's not a huge fan of yellow. She did admit to me however that she could handle the color gold. She said they were going for something very elegant but with a modern spin. She said she didn't want to go with anything too bright but that she was open to new ideas. I decided to create a design for Camille that incorporated a lot of really nice colors like champagne, gold, bronze, and even little hints of burnt orange. {continued...}

Because Camille's ceremony and reception spaces had pretty bold colors on the walls- I wanted to go with a palette that incorporated subtle colors. Bridesmaids looked stunning in a soft terra cotta color, and tables were dressed in beautiful orange linens that incorporated a layered place setting. A gold napkin was folded neatly at each seat, and popped when placed on white china. Accented with the richness of bronze and gold-this color palette is the perfect look for the spaces she has chosen.
